Alfred Megrail Papers
This collection consists of two letters from the Jefferson County Genealogical Library addressed to Peter Wilson, one page of lined paper that lists the names and locations of genealogical research, four short correspondences from Alfred Megrail from various dates, and one journal of Alfred Megrail dated 1860. The items in this collection range from 1860 to 1984.

D. F. Bone Diary
This collection is digital images only. The owner of the original diary and family Bible loaned the items to the library to be digitized. The collection consists of a diary written by D. F. Bone during the year 1900. Both images of the diary and a transcription are included. Several pages from D.F. Bone’s family Bible including all the family record sheets with birth, marriage and death information about the Bone and Cox family have been digitized and included in the collection.
Isaac Toot Papers
This collection contains the diary, war record, and muster-out roll of Civil War soldier Isaac Toot. Also included are a transcription of the diary, family chart for Martha Magdalene Toot, letters, and background history on Isaac Toot. The majority of this collection is from 1862-1865. The background history was obtained August 2012.
Petree and Plumb Family Papers
This collection contains family history information for the Petree and Plumb families, including: a manuscript, name index, notes, genealogy charts, and a diary. Significant gaps for which no records exist: 1895-1927 and 1927-1996.
Sewell E. Richardson Papers
This collection contains journals, a treasurer’s book, and a leather envelope. The journals begin during Sewell’s time in Wisconsin. The journals were primarily written by Sewell until 1917 when Sewell’s wife took over. Annie continued to write until a short time before her death in 1927. The treasurer’s book contains records of accounts and payments. The envelope holds ephemera of the Richardson family.
Titus Family Collection
This collection is completely digitalized and available on the Midwest Genealogy Center’s digital archival collections webpage. The collection contains correspondence between Square Holt and family members during his Civil War service while he served with the 26th Michigan Infantry (Union). Also included is a journal written by Melville Titus (brother-in-law of Square Holt), photographs of various Titus and Holt family members, and ephemera created by the both the Titus and Holt families.
Walker/McCann Family Diaries
This collection consists of diaries written by members of the Joel M. Walker and Charles R. McCann families. These diaries describe the lives of farmers and their families. In addition to recording family life, these diaries also recorded historical events happening around Iowa and the United States. All diaries were written in Cedar and Muscatine counties in Iowa.
