Scope and Contents

This collection contains items relating to the history of Cler-Mont Elementary School and its Parents as Teacher Association (P.T.A.). These items cover a range of P.T.A. activities such as board meetings and events. Also contained within this collection are photographs documenting various Cler-Mont Elementary classes, faculty, activities, and events.

This collection consists of correspondence and school memorabilia from Eleanor Shane’s early life. Cards and letters illustrate Eleanor’s social life while the school items showcase her education and activities as an elementary school student through college. In addition to the various school items, there are also two memory books in which Eleanor recorded aspects of her time as a student at Mt. Washington School.

This collection contains materials related to Lone Jack High School in Lone Jack, Missouri. The majority of the collection is student newspapers, most of which were created during World War II, offering insights to the experiences of students during the conflict. Two student newspapers are included, Newetta and School Daze. One folder contains issues and pages with no dates. There is also a folder containing a program for the schools 1946 Dramatics Contests.

This collection contains a scrapbook from Maude Zallee Jefferis. This scrapbook primarily contains messages, autographs, photographs, drawings, and paintings from her classmates at Soldan High School in St. Louis, Missouri. There are also two groups of photos in the collection which were found in the scrapbook. These include senior photographs of Zallee Jeffries’s classmates, as well as some older photographs of babies, which are unidentified.

Scope and Contents This collection contains materials related to Northwest High School in Kansas City, Missouri. These materials include student newspapers from the school, as well as student registers, photographs of some of the early graduating classes, class rosters, and memorabilia collected by students over the years. The collection also contains two boxes of minutes books and registers from various student clubs, including various literary societies, the Shakespeare Club, Mathematics Club, Girls’ Club,...

Scope and Contents The collection consists of documents pertaining to the Shepherd family and extended relations. The first series contains genealogical queries submitted by Ina over several years, as well as personal correspondence. The second series contains genealogical charts and forms such as pedigree charts or family group records. Scope and Contents All the items in the collection were donated together, but relate to the Guthrie, Sherman, and Grindley families. All are from the Kansas City area, but the connection between the families is not clear from the items. Some of the photographs in the collection are identified. Several school photographs from Ravenwood Elementary in North Kansas City School District and Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri have the names of those in the group photographs identified.
