This collection consists of Civil War orders for the 5th Cavalry Missouri State Militia. These orders are photocopies. The supplemental materials include a transcription of the original orders and background history.

This collection contains the diary, war record, and muster-out roll of Civil War soldier Isaac Toot. Also included are a transcription of the diary, family chart for Martha Magdalene Toot, letters, and background history on Isaac Toot. The majority of this collection is from 1862-1865. The background history was obtained August 2012.

Scope and Contents This collection pertains to the Kimberlin family of Cass County, Missouri. Deeds, land patents and title abstracts for land purchased by the Kimberlin and Pulliam family date from the 1840s to 1914. Other documents related to the family include farm leases, land patents, insurance policies, and receipts. Scope and Contents The Rorer Family Papers consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, some biographical information, a photograph, and miscellaneous papers relating to the Rorer and Thrasher family. Among the items are two Civil War letters written by Clinton to his mother. Shortly after the letters were written, Clinton died and a letter was written to Samantha notifying her of her son’s death. The collection contains correspondence between Square Holt and family members during his Civil War service while he served with the 26th Michigan Infantry (Union). Also included is a journal written by Melville Titus (brother-in-law of Square Holt), photographs of various Titus and Holt family members, and ephemera created by the both the Titus and Holt families.

One bible contains an inscription stating Andrew Jackson Walker as the original owner, gifted to him by his sister Lucy Ann Franklin. Another bible belonged to Andrew Jackson Walker’s son Andrew J.
