Scope and Contents While preparing to move to California, Eva Giles took some papers to her neighbor Carl Guertler in Ogden, Utah to be burned. He saw some old stamps and while looking through the papers, he noticed they had genealogical value. She gave permission for him to keep the papers and they were donated to the Genealogical Society of Utah. This collection contains photos of Herman and Pauline Schumann and their family. Many of the photos are unidentified. Other documents include the original baptismal and marriage records from Germany as well as the deed of sale for land owned by Herman Schumann.

This collection contains the genealogical research, family photographs, and correspondence of Arthur Krebs. The genealogy research contains census, military, land, vital, and other miscellaneous records. In addition, there are numerous family unit charts as well as other genealogy research. There is also a family history of one of Arthur Krebs’ ancestors, John Hiram Ingrum. Also contained within this collection are records in German that relate to Arthur’s genealogy research.

This collection contains the reminiscences of Rachel Minerva Owsley Barton, written from 1890 to 1914. The collection also contains a transcription of the papers compiled by Donna Eitel in 2023. Also included are a set of land records from 1826-1841 in Indiana, Illinois, and Massachusetts, which were likely owned by Thomas Owsley (1806-1882).
