Scope and Contents The collections consists of photos, documents, correspondence, and artifacts relating to the life of George B. Owens as well as his genealogy. Although many of the items relate to his personal life, they also have a broader context. This collection consists of the photographs and ephemera of Lois C. Golden. The photographs cover the late 1800s through 2000s. Also found within this collection are memorabilia from Lois’ high school and subsequent reunions. There is also correspondence between Lois and her daughter Patricia.

The Midwest Genealogy Center receives donations relating to family history and genealogy. Photos that do not fit into existing collections become a part of the photo collection. Many photos have identifiable information with the photos or on the backs of the photos while others are unidentified. Many photos have come from estate sales or from donors who have no connection to the family.
