Michael Sylvester was born December 7, 1942. He married Cleopatra Gertrude Vanwinkle on October 7, 1869 at the home of Jesse Vanwinkle in Saline County, Missouri. They had three children, Mathias Jefferson, William Harvey, and Susie Annie. The family lived in Slater, Missouri.
